Last mine camp in the canyon.

Phillip slid up a side canyon to get this shot of the rock strata. He was looking for the source of the material they were mining. It wasn't up this one.

Believe it or not, this is a refer or cooler. It is carved out of a rock and was in one wall of the cabin the miners had built. This rock is fairly soft. If you blow up the picture you can see the carve marks inside it. Door is missing as well as shelf. We found the shelf where some hunters or somebody used it for their campfire right next to the burned out cabin.

This is all that remains of the fireplace at this same cabin. Must have been real pretty at one time. Wish I could have seen what it looked like before fire.

looks like the road went right next to the cabin. Too bad it got burned down.
