More Signs

The top sign  the Bristol family painted and mounted themselves. They did an excellent job! They gave this sign an inch of space between the sign and the rock background. The white background in the sign is plywood.
The Dudack family ordered this sign year before last, painted with an epoxy black satin finish. Again another good job presenting the sign.

The land of magic

2010 I got the opportunity to design and build a new sign for a restaurant in the Bozeman area. Just right off  interstate 90 at Logan Montana sets this really neat steakhouse with the decor of local artists works. Although we haven't ate there but we've heard that this is the best place to buy a steak in the area.
The new steakhouse sign is a 60 in.sq. Light tan background sheet with an inch and one quarter  square tubular supporting frame. The main image consists of three separate pieces, screwed to the background sheet. All the letters are completely separate . The lower case letters have one half of inch space from the back of the letter to the background sheet. The capital letters are spaced 1 inch. Total labor for making this sign was 35 hours installation included.

Another happy customer

Our local schoolhouse turned 100 years old, 2011. Our community had turned this school into a community center. I was asked to commemorate this date with a Centennial sign.

To make this image show better,
I made a white background back.

Handrail for the Williams family

This is the only handrail I done last year. Mary Williams got this for her Christmas present from her husband Doug. She wanted no wildlife in the images. So we went with all trees and mountains scene. They went with this theme in case they sold the house. Mary felt that a new buyer would not like the type of animals they would choose to put in the image panels. Doug took on the task of painting the handrail and installing it above their living room.
The top picture, a job well done. The bottom picture is my work completed, ready for delivery!

One from last year

Last year at the Butte farmers market we got the chance to do this sign for the Lori Hinker  family. Their beautiful home is in Anaconda, Montana. They did a great job of presenting this sign for their address.

Wisdom tree

The Farrow Family from West Virginia contacted me about four years ago and asked me to do a tree of life for display in their living room of their new home. This turned out to be about 2 1/2 year project. The first draft was about oak tree without foliage. The second draft was the same oak tree with exposed root system. The third draft was an old man's face hidden in the trunk of the oak tree. They did not approve of the old man's face and asked me to make the old man's face easier to see. They came out to my place twice during the project to see how it was going. Finally they approved of the image and we set out to cut it. It is the largest file on any single image I've ever done. I was concerned if my compressor was going to be able to produce enough air to make the final outside cut. It took 40 min. to cut the very outside line. Since then they changed the name from tree of life to the wisdom tree. Had to make a special crate to send this via trucking to its destiny in West Virginia. We tried their best to make this crate idiot proof so that image would not get damaged. It made it there unharmed.

Some signs

This sign was purchased by an elderly couple from Butte and was taken back to their son house I believe in Wisconsin. It was their family Christmas present to him and his family.
