Another exciting day in AZ.

Went to the dump yesterday. Such a cool trip. I'm getting cabin fever I guess. On the way we saw about 10 vultures that flew up in a tree as we neared. The all started to sing a capella," theres a dead skunk in the middle of the road". They were all trying to get a bite but we disturbed them. Later we went down to the river. Was so nice down there. Was the second time down there since I got out of hosp. Got a chance to walk around with out having to use oxy. I think I can say I finally got shed of the tank.

Love the Fall Season

I LOVE this time of the year.  I love going for drives and taking pics.  Believe it or not the ferns are still green around the house here.  The smaller tamaracks are starting to change color and some of the bushes but the ferns are still green.....amazing.

Went down and stayed with Donna and Ryan for a few days.....had a wonderful time, as always.  We hope that Donna will come up here in October when the colors are really pretty and stay with us a few days.  We will take a drive up the Yakk River and show her the HUGE buckskin tamaracks up there.  It is really pretty up there.

I have taken some interesting pictures lately...will put them on the blog here over the course of the next few days:  Here are the first 3:

Best time fishing!

Well it was a fun time but it's back to the grindstone!  I was able to do some serious goofing off, a little work, but mostly goofing off.  In a few days I'll be back in school, only this time I'll be the one with the chalk.

To top off my summer of goofing off I took a trip up to visit the folks.  It was a nice trip as I was able to stay with them for 2 weeks.  In that time we did some serious fishing, chillaxin, festival-in', and huckleberry-in'.

I wanted to share a few pics of some of the fishing action.

Here's a pic of a beautiful cutthroat trout that Dad caught.

Here's Dad taking the hook out of it's mouth.

Here are a few big brown trout we caught within a span of 30 minutes.  I was pretty psyched to catch my brown but was amazed when Dad caught an even bigger one.  They weren't big enough to snap the pole into pieces but this is the biggest fish I have caught all summer.

I'd love to tell you where we caught these fish but I've been sworn to secrecy.  All I can say is that they were caught in Montana someplace west of Bozeman.

Friday Again

Feeling better but still not ready for the five mile hike. Just now getting to where I can do a few things. I'm off the oxy while I am just sitting and not doing much but I need it if I have to walk more than 50 feet.

Phillip has been canning cold water sweet pickles lately. I think he said 16 quarts. I said time to stop with the pickles and give some of the cukes away. That's where he is now. Took them down to the senior center, along with squash, corn and beans.

The HP still isn't working. Phillip talked to guy next door and He might give it a try. His kid was real whizz with puters but kid gone from home now. Maybe Dad can fix it. I hope so.

What next?

I still haven't got the HP fixed. Been busy getting myself fixed. Philip took me to the hospital emergency on Sunday and they took my gall bladder out on Monday. Came home the same day.
They wouldn't let me out without oxygen tank. Pits! Still don't feel too perky. No appetite. Should lose more weight this way I guess. Good thing I had enough reserve fat to tide me over. Kinda puts a crimp in things though.
