This is somewhat true, but there is an element of personal responsibility here! Just like being out anywhere in public - people are gross and kids are grosser. Hence, don't put your fingers in your mouth or eyes or nose until they are washed! And even then, don't chew your nails b/c those germs live under them. Using TOO much antibacterial stuff actually hurts the good germs and may make you more likely to develop a resistant staph infection b/c not enough of the good guys are around. Okay, there is my "soap" box (he he) from this public health doc!!
