This is the remains of an old miners cabin down in the canyon. The forest service has burned it down. All of the old mine equipment has been removed for salvage. We saw a lot of old ore rock around a shute and in piles here and there but there is no mine anywhere around the place. The ore rock must have been mined somewhere else and processed here, although there is no sign of any mill tailings. Maybe milled and shipped somewhere else for refining. Place called " Trail's end mine".

Looks like fosillized roots. They didn't petrify. Weird anyway.
