Hey!!! It's midweek.

Now that would be a great idea, just as long as everything they sell is just a dollar.

It's at it again. Would you believe, monday night it was warm enough to leave the window open at night and today we needed to turn the heat on. Yep!! It snowed, hailed rained and the wind blew like hell today. They predict snow tonight and all the rest of the week. Damn global warming!

Went up to Prescott today and got the old ranger licensed and insured to drive. Got a lot of junk to haul off and we need to get some posts to make a tall, strong fence around the garden spot. Been too cold to think garden so far. We see all the plants out at Lowes, Wal-mart and such places. They better put them in some warm spot on friday because the high is only supposed to be 38 at Prescott and 40 here. This is for the HIGH mind you. It got up to a blistering 47 today here. How's that for global warming? Sheeee-it. I bet it was warmer in Rathdrum.

At the Indian dig.

The primroses were blooming. I thought I'd capture a pic of one.

This is a small holly oak bush. These things grow to gigantic proportions. Phillip took some pics of some of the bigger ones I will post some of the pics he took another time.

He had to come out and see what I was doing, so I took a pic of him.

I came within inches of stepping on this horned toad. He is really a lizzard. I had to coax him out in the sunlight to get a good clear pic of him. They look almost prehistoric.

More from the Indian dig.

On the way there.

This is just a big midden pile or Indian garbage dump.Juniper in the middle of the pic has grown up right in the middle of the dump. The stump in the forground is where I laid the knuckle bone.

All this stuff and a few more rocks came out of the hole by my pick.

Whoopie!! It;s monday again.

Seems sometimes like more going out than coming in. Oh well!! Such is life.

Had to go to Prescott this AM to pick up some grub. Figured since we were already more than half way there we'd go up to the place where I dug up the pipe and half a fetish bear. It had snowed big time since we were up there last so we wanted to see if anything was dug out that we didn't see in the dark ash. On the way up we saw a lot of juniper trees that had lots of limbs broken off with the weight of the heavy snow. Didn't find anything new but did take a few pictures of the dig site. Too tired tonight to process them. I'm still trying to get used to the way the camera works, so don't know if any of the turned out or not. A lot of the first ones I took were blurry because I forgot to hold the shutter down half way till I get the green light to click it.

Way the thing focuses. I ordered it from Wal-mart to be delivered to the store where I could pick it up. What they sent wasn't what I wanted, but they gave me a 139 dollar camera for the 79 dollar one I ordered, because of their mistake. Can't complain about that. This thing is smaller than the cell phone we had.

Getting close to my bedtime and I have yet to take a bath to get all the ash off me. My hands got dirty even thru my gloves. I did dig up what I thought was a part of another fetish but turned out to be knuckle bone of some kind. I for got to take a picture of it. I washed it off with some water we carry for this purpose and my hands were black when I was done The bone was compleatly black. I set it on a stump but forgot it. Still there. Nevermind!

And that's when the fight started.

But it's Easter Sunday, dear.

Easter.

More spring flowers.

Creeping murtle. Lots of it down by the river. Pretty ground cover.

Pussy willows, done blooming and starting to leaf out and dropping the fluff all over the place.

I didn't get a pic of the holly leaf oak the last time I was down there but it was starting to bloom. It smells so sweet when there are just a bush or two blooming but overpowering smell when there are lots of them in bloom.

These are some cute little flowers down by the river. Don't know what they are.

Phillip caught these cacti up in the rocks when he went up to get pics of the Indian caves.

Those oictures will be in a later post.

Don't see too many dandylions down here. I found these when I went in the bushes to take a leek.
