More rock-ology.

 The rocks above are onyx nodule's. They are formed in pockets in the lava.  These nodule's I dug have centers of blue agate with red and gold sagenite inclusions.
 The yellow oolitic agate formed in this pocket also has tiny red sagenite needles in places and it makes some of it look orange. A dirty calcite crust has formed on part of this specimen.  Phillip found better smaller pieces of cutting quality here.
In the lava pocket here, Phillip found this piece of cavity filled with sparkly quartz crystals. Lots of stuff has eroded from the lava beds but some specimens take a lot of work to collect without damaging them.
