The story continues

                         The Time Masters plan begins.

The time master has chosen a child to be born to a couple, who will raise him, with a little help from himself, in a way that he will be able to accept the hardship and rigors put on him to travel through time and find out just where things went wrong and restore the powers to travel through time for the rest of the time masters as well as the Hanks family in the future. This is how he is doing it.  Meet the young man and his family.

Lincoln Allen Hanks. Son of William Thomas Hanks and Matilda Sharp,
Hanks.  He is  twenty three years old, attending BYU in Utah, where his Father is a professor , teaching Physics. His Mother is a doctor at a hospital in Provo.... She is a Trauma Specialist in the emergency department.
His Father is also an avid Historical Archeologist, who belongs to a
society who's members are finally going to Britain to do some
excavating at Stonehenge.   They have just gotten an approval from
the British government to do so.   They will be going to England as
soon as the school season ends.   Lincoln, called Linc, by his friends
and  his family,  also expresses a great interest in archeology, has been asked by the Society if he would like to attend the dig with his Father......

Linc, a student at BYU,  is studying to be a geologist.  He has always been interested in rocks since he was just a small boy.  He loves to go hunting rocks with his Uncle Vernon Sharp, his mother's brother, who is an Anthropologist  attached to BYU. Linc is  a very enthusiastic rock hound. A trait he picked up from his Uncle Vernon.
Linc is also a gung ho firearms guy.  Spending  a great deal of his spare time at the local gun club.  He loves hunting, he bagged his first deer when he was  twelve years old, hunting with his Father and Uncle Vernon.  He loves to go fishing with them too.  He never passes up a chance to go camping with his Uncle, who has no children of his own , but is grateful  to have Linc tag along with him.  They sound each other  out while sitting around the campfire in the evenings. They really talk to each other about what they like and what they expect out of life.  Linc was a Boy Scout, advancing to Eagle Scout.  There he learned quite a bit about martial arts as well as how to survive when you have only your mind and your own two hands to work with.

Linc still lives at home with his Parents. Sometimes takes his Mother to some classes for CPR, she teaches at a local clinic. Since they live out in the country,  it gives his Mom a break from driving. One day while on the way to class, they come upon an accident that had just happened.  A woman in the car was trying to get to the hospital to have a baby, but lost control of the car when she had a bad contraction.  His Mom never went anywhere with out her medical bag and she promptly went to work to insure the new mother gave birth to a healthy baby. Woman was not injured in the wreck, but the car was made impossible to drive and birth was eminent, no time to drive her to the hospital.  The baby was delivered safely, with a bit of help from  Linc, just before the ambulance he had called came down the road.

Another time while taking her to class they drove by three kids walking down the side of the road, one had a suitcase.  His Mom made him back up to where the kids had stopped.   He pulled up in front of them along side of the road and his Mom got out and went back to the kids, who ran down over the bank at the side of the road.  She made Linc go catch them and bring them back.  The oldest appeared to be a boy about  ten years old with two younger girls.  After questioning the kids for about fifteen minutes they found out they had ran away from home, because their Mom had died a few weeks earlier and their Father was very abusive.  Linc's Mom showed him the bruises and welts from beatings on the kids after she examined them.  They put the kids in the car and took them with them to the class.  One of the women at the class knew the kids and the crap they had to put up with . She said she thought the Father may have killed the Mother.  They all ended up at the Police station  after the class.   Since his Mom was a well known doctor, the Police let her take the kids home with them.  But not before going to the kids home to get more clothing for each of them. The Father was no where around and the cop who went with them said he would round him up and toss his butt in jail.

Well looks like Linc has some kids to get used to since he had no siblings, nor young cousins to interact with. He was charged with helping them get adjusted to a new  lifestyle.  Since there was only one other spare bedroom in the house, the boy had to room with Linc, and the girls given the spare room.  The boys name was Todd Barrett, and the girls, Amy, four and Jessica, who was  seven. were awed to think they had  a place to live where they were not beaten every day for some imagined infraction they had committed.

It took a bit of adjusting for Linc to get used to  sharing his Parents and Uncle with others.  But adjust he did and was soon teaching them everything he could to help them.  Todd and Jessica were enrolled in school and  Amy went with his Mom to town and then to a daycare.  Many times Linc had to pick her up there on his way home because his Mom had to stay late.  Ever since he turned sixteen, he had  always fixed dinner after he got home from school,  and now he had to adjust to the fact there were three more mouths to make dinner for.  He was a good cook, learning both from his Mom and his Uncle, when they went camping.  A lot of times when camping , he and his Uncle cooked their food over an open camp fire, using only the material around them instead of familiar  house hold utensils and camp stove.  Linc loved doing it this way.  Catching fish , draping them on a stick and holding them over the fire til they were done,  Seemed to taste much better that way.  He had learned a lot in these last few years, and now that the end of the school year was close,  he and his Father will be on their way to England.
