TRACK SCHOOLING WITH IVY
HERE ARE SOME TRACKS WE CAME ACROSS ON ANOTHER WINTER HIKE
Cool and very much like some picture my neighbor showed me the other day. He came across some huge tracks, that apparently belonged to a lone wolf. So far no fresh kill sites, but just knowing that they've been this close. I have heard people saying that they have seen wolves, but have always wondered if they knew what they were talking about. We even had to sit and listen to another neighbor tell us what they heard crawling down a tree in the dark just had to be a cougar. Certainly that was B.S. and my father in law saying that the neighbor's stupid cat was a lynx, was as dumb as it gets. Just hope that the things aren't packed up somewhere close, and develop a taste for Corgis. An old timer here told us that the tracks on the neighbor's property were in fact wolf tracks, because of the way it drug it's heels [for lack of a better term] I'll try to get those pictures and post those here. Freaky cool!
There was a article posted in the local newspaper up here that was submitted by the humane society in Thompson Falls. The article was in regards to some rumors flying around that certain people, who hate the idea of relocating wolves back into the wild in these parts, have been flapping their mouths about getting a hold of some dogs with Parvo and taking them up into the hills where the various packs have been hanging out and leaving them there to affect the wolves and coyotes!! Needless to say the HS was urging people to contact the sheriff, them or Fish and Game if they know of anybody trying to follow through with such a plan.

Looks like the wolves have been busy. Can't be too hungry after that. What did Ivy think about that?
