A Montana Christmas!

It was nice to be with the family after having our Thanksgiving plans dashed by crummy weather. Since the five of us are in the same place once a year it seemed like a good idea to take a family picture. I'm trying to catch up with Dad in the beard dept. but I have a long way to go.

Christmas afternoon we got together to open some presents. Judging from the looks on Steph and Sis's faces I think they liked their gifts. I know Steph will enjoy her fleece snuggy on those frigid single digit Montana winter nights.

We did manage to get some time outside to avoid getting a bad case of cabin fever. On one such outing we checked out an old historic ranger station.

The road to the H.R.S. was a bit sketchy but Sis handled the snow and ice with expert skill in her new vehicle. Of course Dad was there to provide some tips that he has acquired from his 4x4 adventures over the years.

A little closer to home Steph, Lisa and I decided to break out the planks and do a little x-country skiing under the power lines. Despite the snow being a tad on the sticky side the skiing was pretty good.
