Why is it, one never has a camera when you see something really out of the ordinary?
On our way down to the river this morning, we saw a big bull elk cross the road in front of us. Damn strange to see one down here on the flats. Must have been on his way from the hills on the east, and going to the hills on the west. We did see some cow elk a few years back, right along the road over by the hills west of us. They were out in a hay field. Not too uncommon to see them over there when the forage in the hills is poor. Also too damn many cows in the hills, but the cows can't jump the fences like the elk.
Drop in, leave a line or three, read what the rest of the interested people might be thinking about. What are your ideas? There must be some things that excites you, or enrages you. I hope you check in and let the rest of the world know about your this and that.

Out and about.
Coming home this am from Yarnell, the top of the hill was covered in
yellow. All the brittle brush was blooming, and no camera.
More pics from before.
