Prospecting

Here I am, hard at work scooping paydirt into the sluice. Anyways I
was right in front of the sluice doing it untill I had a break. That
hole in back of me is where Phillip has been getting the dirt. I
scooped out one scoop and there was a small crushed up wire nugget
right on top of the scoop. Phillip came and grabbed it it. Oh well .
Got warm that day up there . Supposed to cool down on thrusday. May
go take more pics on the desert. That is if it don't rain. Too damn
muddy then.

Desert

Phillip and I spent a beautiful day down on the desert. Took a road
we haven't been on before. Saw some great scenery, and some of the
first flowers of spring. Not near as many blooming yet that usually
do. Still early. Some mining activity here, and one that was being
worked now. Looked like he was working high bench gravel. Saw where
someone had left plastic for a dam in a wash. Must have been dredging
when the water was up.
At the end of the road was a huge open pit mine. Looks like they were
mining manganese.
