About four years ago this man's sister contacted me. She had heard through some other parties that I did this sort of thing. This is a picture of her older brother, a retired Navy man. She told me that his biggest goal was to go fishing as much as he could after he retired from the Navy. She sent me this picture and asked me if I could make a memorial portrait of him for the family. This picture was special for them because it was one of his last fishing trips. I got the first draft done and send it out to her for approval. She said it was a go and purchased four of these images for surviving siblings. Then she took these images and handed them out at their next family reunion.
She commented to me later after the family reunion that everybody loved their image and they felt good that this was a fitting memorial for their brother. They passed on their thanks.

Not to be outdone

This young man is the brother to catch and release not to be outdone. Again his parents wanted this done for his birthday gift. This is a steelhead he caught on the Clearwater River some years back. This image is approximately 20 inches high by 36 inches wide. It took the machine about 27 min. to cut. And it took me about three weeks to draw, working about an hour on it off and on.
